Keep On Keeping On
“I strongly suspect that if we saw all the difference even the tiniest of our prayers make, and all the people those little prayers were destined to affect, and all the consequences of those prayers down through the centuries, we would be so paralyzed with awe at the power of prayer that we would be unable to get up off our knees for the rest of our lives.” Peter Kreeft, Professor of Philosophy, Boston College
When I read that quote, my faith is stirred and I am really encouraged to pray. We live in such an ‘instant’ culture and age – we’ve come to expect fast food, fast travel, instant transactions, and what we want when we want it – no delays. We so easily get discouraged and give up when we don’t see instant results to our prayers.
Purpose to walk by faith II Cor. 5:7. Faith says, “Keep on believing, keep on praying, keep on listening and learning and loving the Father. Keep watching for His answers.”
Ps. 5:3 In the morning, O LORD, You will hear my voice; in the morning I will order my prayer to You and eagerly watch.
Hab. 2:1 I will stand on my guard post and station myself on the rampart; and I will keep watch to see what He will speak to me,…
Luke 18:1 Now He was telling them a parable to show that at all times they ought to pray and not to lose heart.
Therefore be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in God’s work… pray. 1 Cor. 15:58
