What is the Object of Your Faith?

..we walk by faith, not by sight.  2 Cor. 5:7

I think this is true of every person in some way.  The real question is who/what is your faith in?  Many times people are trusting in good luck, fate, themselves, someone else – depending on the situation.

What is the object of your faith?  Is it trustworthy; has it proven faithful?

An arrogant man stirs up strife, but he who trusts in the LORD will prosper. He who trusts in his own heart is a fool, but he who walks wisely will be delivered.”  Prov. 28:25-26

I’ve lived long enough to know I cannot trust myself or ‘lean on my own understanding’.  I want my hope and trust in the Unchanging God who made the heavens and the earth.

Abraham is our example, Romans 4:20,21 “yet, with respect to the promise of God, he did not waver in unbelief but grew strong in faith, giving glory to God, and being fully assured that what God had promised, He was able also to perform.”

Your attitude and approach and consistency in prayer are all indicators of your faith.

Rom. 10:11  For the Scripture says, “WHOEVER BELIEVES IN HIM WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED.”

You can trust Him, whatever your need.  Don’t get discouraged.  If you’re still concerned about it, keep talking to Him while being open to Him changing your heart.
