When Circumstances Are Confusing and Difficult >> Wait for the Lord
When the going is difficult with no end in sight and we feel all alone, it’s easy to think God either doesn’t understand or doesn’t care. Nothing could be further from the TRUTH. The children of Israel certainly felt this way. Listen to what God said to them.
Isaiah 40:27-31 27 Why do you say, O Jacob, and assert, O Israel, “My way is hidden from the LORD, and the justice due me escapes the notice of my God”? 28 Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth does not become weary or tired. His understanding is inscrutable. 29 He gives strength to the weary, and to him who lacks might He increases power. 30 Though youths grow weary and tired, and vigorous young men stumble badly, 31 yet those who wait for the LORD will gain new strength; they will mount up with wings like eagles, they will run and not get tired, they will walk and not become weary.
Wait for the Lord.
Or consider Psalm 27:13,14 13 I would have despaired unless I had believed that I would see the goodness of the LORD In the land of the living. 14 Wait for the LORD; be strong, and let your heart take courage; yes, wait for the LORD.
Wait for the Lord. What does that mean?
Trust Him. Don’t lean on your own understanding and ‘take matters in your own hands’. Acknowledge Him (get His counsel, seek to honor Him) in all you say and do. Prov. 3:5,6
Lament. Psalm 13 – How long, O Lord? Will You forget me forever? How long will you hide Your face from me? …How long will my enemy be exalted over me? …But I have trusted in Your mercy. My heart shall rejoice in Your salvation.
Pray – with praise and thanksgiving and KNOW His promised amazing peace. Philippians 4:6,7
Rejoice, Listen, Learn, journal the lessons and encourage someone else, …… Keep on believing.
